Creative Chemistry 102 - Day 5

I am so excited that I have finally had some time to play.  The gears on the tag were made with the distress embossing powder and them inked. I love the way the distress powder made the gears look more rustic.

New projects done

Well it has been a long time since I posted any of my projects. i have gotten some done and guess I forgot. Here is a card that I made for my neice for her birthday. It is a greeting farm stamp and the Echo Park Walk in the Park paper. I love how the colors worked so well together with the little girl. I colored her with my copic markers. I am still trying to figure out how to get hair blended properly.

A summer favorite of mine is Simple Stories 100 days of Summer, which I used in the layout below. I just loved all of this collection. I has lots of potential. Another favorite is the Tim Holtz Mini Rossettes die that I also used on this layout. Hope you enjoy.

Magnolia cards

I was in need of some thank you cards. So I sat down to start using my copics. It seems like it has been forever since I have had time to use them. Here is what i came up with. I just love this magnolia image. I used flower soft to fill in the flowers in her basket.

New Layout

My kids had a blast camping at thanksgiving. The weather was great. They spent most of one afternoon fishing for minnows.

Compendium of Curiosities Challenge

I must say that Tim Holtz is one of my most inspiring artists. I have been watching the Studio L3 blog and the Compendium of Curiosities challenge for several weeks now, 7 to be exact. It is now on to challenge #7 called "Tinted Vision Fragments". I finally had some time to sit down and make a card front. What fun I had, playing with all my alcohol inks. The only catch for this challenge is that you must own the Compendium of Curiosities Book by Tim Holtz. This challenge is found on page 55 and that is all I can tell you. If you need more information about these challenges you can click on my link on the left side and it will take you to Studio L3 and Linda's blog. She does some great projects.

I can tell you what products I used for my card front. I used charm fragments with Meadow, Red Pepper and Caramel alcohol ink. I also used Memory Foil Tape and Misc. red ribbon. The stamp sets are Tim's Mini Holidays and Fancy Pants holiday. The colors used on the card front are shabby Shutters, Pine Needle and Peeled Paint along with SU's Ruby Red.

Belles & Whistles card

I finished another card and I think this has to be one of my favorites yet. It is a stamp from Belles & Whistles and designed by Elizabeth Belle. I just love the way it turned out with all the bright colors. This is one of my favorite stamps. The more I play the more I love the copic markers.

A new Tilda Card

I have finally had a chance to finish another tilda card. I love the way the colors turned out on her. Fore her dress I used copic markers R81, R83, R85 and E41, E42, E43. I also tried flower soft for the first time on the flower basket. I used this card for a teacher that was leaving our school this year.
